Only in Florida: Scat Solution Lands Shoplifter in the Slammer

Some people try some crazy shit when it comes to last-minute Christmas shopping.

Either put off by a long last minute Christmas shopping check out line, or looking to try out a new getaway skill, a Florida woman turned being caught red-handed into brown-handed by smearing her own feces in a loss prevention officer's face.

Marisa Toribio, 32 was arrested December 23, when, while allegedly using her "five finger discount" at a Macy's in Fort Lauderdale, she was caught by store security. Rather than spend Christmas in the hoosegow, Toribio, while cornered by the store's loss prevention officer, dug down deep for a solution.

According to court papers obtained by Local 10, Toribio allegedly pulled handful of feces out of her pants and put it all over the rent-a-cop's face.

Apparently, the Macy's security officer passed Toribio's poop smear test. Toribio appeared in bond court on Christmas Eve and now faces theft charges, plus a charge for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
