What would you do to get out of a speeding ticket?

A police officer from New Jersey was arrested Monday after allegedly showing his penis to a number of young male drivers instead of giving them a ticket, the Smoking Gun reports.

Jason Miller, 37, was arrested and charged with official misconduct and public lewdness after officials reviewed his traffic stops over a seven-month period.

Miller, who has been an officer with the Newton Police Department since 2001, was released from jail on a $35,000 bail.

According to an affidavit, Miller exposed himself during "numerous" late-night traffic stops to "satisfy his prurient interests." He also allegedly let the male drivers off the hook by not giving them a ticket, even though, at least in some cases, Miller was aware that the driver had been drinking or that a vehicle's registration and insurance was expired.

The document details Miller's interaction with five men between the ages of 18 and 26. Investigators say they have evidence of other "late night or early morning stops involving Officer Miller and young adult males... wherein it appears that Officer Miller's pants were opened and/or his genitals were exposed and/or a zipper can be heard opening or closing."

One of the men, an 18 year old who is identified as J.A., told police that he was stopped by a Newtown cop in September and when the officer approached his car, "he noticed the officer's zipper was down and he saw what he believed to be the officer's exposed genitals."

J.A. identified the cop as Miller, who is married and is a father of two, and said even though his driver's registration and insurance lapsed, he was let go. When he retold the story for his girlfriend, the teen said the cop's "junk was hanging out."

In another incident, a 23-year-old identified as K.K. told police he was recently stopped by a Newton cop while driving with a male friend home after a late night out. K.K. said the cop "asked him if he noticed the officer's zipper was down" but he said no. After the traffic stop was completed, K.K. dropped his friend off but noticed the same officer who pulled him over was following him.

The cop eventually pulled up next to K.K. and told him to roll down his window.

"The officer again asked him if he noticed that the officer had his fly down. K.K. again told him no," an affidavit reads. "The officer asked him if the person he was dropping off was his boyfriend. K.K. told him no, and then told him that he has a girlfriend."

Investigators reviewed several videos of traffic stops Miller carried out. They say the videos support their claim that he exposed himself to the male drivers. There's a video of a 2:39 a.m. stop in August that "clearly appears" to show Miller's "pants are open and his genitals are exposed" while he speaks with a 26-year-old motorist.

Miller has been indefinitely suspended without pay pending the outcome of the criminal case.
