The Second Annual Harbor to the Bay Bachelor Auction will be auctioning off fourteen eligible bachelors and bachelorettes on August 23rd from 7:30-10pm at Club Caf. All proceeds from the date auction will support one of four local HIV/AIDS organizations: Fenway Health Center, AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, Community Research Initiative, and the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts.

Last year's auction raised more than $13,000 for charity. Successful bidders will receive a private date and gift certificate to some of the Boston areas best restaurants and bars. General tickets are $10 and include admission, a bid number, a drink ticket and entry into one of several raffles. For an additional $10 you can purchase a VIP ticket and participate in an interactive segment and "preview" the bachelor/ettes prior to the auction itself.

The date auction is part of the organizing efforts for the tenth annual Harbor to the Bay Charity Bike Ride from Boston to Provincetown to be held on September 15th. The ride began in 2003 as a way to honor the memory of Michael Tye. Since its inception, the volunteer-driven ride has raised over 2.5 million dollars for HIV/AIDS research and services.

One-hundred percent of all contributions go to one of four local organizations: Fenway Health Center, AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod, Community Research Initiative, and the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts.

This year's ride has approximately three hundred registered riders and one hundred volunteer crew members so far with a fundraising goal of 500,000. Individuals interested in riding, volunteering, or offering a donation, or learning more can do so either by visiting the ride's website: www.harbortothebay.org/
