Sangria Challenge to Win Trip to Tales of the Cocktail Festival in New Orleans

Mark Thompson READ TIME: 1 MIN.

NEW ORLEANS, LA - Sangria is one of the most popular summer drinks of all, and for good reason-you can make a giant batch in advance of any outing, and it allows you to customize it any way you want.

And this summer, that crazy-cool sangria you made for the last grill-out could just land you at the renowned Tales of the Cocktail festival in New Orleans.

This year, Sandeman Porto is giving pitcher drink enthusiasts an opportunity to create the ultimate summer sangria, featuring Sandeman Founders Reserve Porto, for the chance to win a trip for two this July to the internationally acclaimed drinks extravaganza.

Original sangria recipes and images will be shared through the Sandeman Summer Sangria Challenge tab on Facebook (www.Facebook.com/SandemanPorto), and the judging panel will select the winning recipe based on taste, creativity/originality and how well the ingredients represent the summer season.

Pitcher recipes must include a bottle of Sandeman Founders Reserve Porto, but everything else is left to the imagination and inspiration of the sangria master.

To enter the Sandeman Summer Sangria Challenge, participants will need to visit www.facebook.com/SandemanPorto to submit their original recipe and a photograph of the prepared cocktail between May 1, 2012 and June 1, 2012 (11:59:59 p.m. EST).
