Despicable Me

Despicable Me is the story of Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) who (until recently) held the title of "World's Greatest Villain". However, when Vector (voiced by Jason Segel) steals the pyramids and upstages Gru, Gru needs to concoct a new villainous plan in order to regain the title. Gru's plan? Simple. Steal the moon! In order to steal the moon, Gru adopts three girls with the purpose of using them to get Vector's shrink ray and now must decide if he should become the world's greatest villain or the world's greatest dad.

Despicable Me is a very fun family film. Carell and Segal are hilarious in their respective (voice) roles. The cast also includes the voice talents of Russell Brand and Julie Andrews.

The extras for Despicable Me include featurettes exploring the "world" of Despicable Me and video game previews. The best extra is the commentary track with directors Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin who talk about the making of the film. What makes this even better is the fact that the "Minions" are part of the commentary too.
